
Katy Lawrence has been practicing law since 2013. Katy attended Villa Madonna Academy graduating in 2005, Georgetown College earning her bachelors in 2009, and South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas earning her Juris Doctorate in 2012. Her law career began with specializing in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury, Social Security, Bankruptcy, Family Law, and Admiralty. Katy worked alongside her father, Larry Lawrence, who maintains his own law practice in Gallatin County, Kentucky, and also worked with her brother, Justin Lawrence, who maintains how own law practice in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
After building her family of five children, Katy’s legal career shifted to mortgage default and foreclosure matters in 2019. Katy has worked for Fifth Third Bank, Robertson Anschutz Schneid & Crane, and Zwicker & Associates while developing the skills and expertise in the mortgage default, debt collection, and foreclosure world.
Katy joined Burns & Hassman in October 2025, where she has found her “home away from home” as the lead tax lien foreclosure attorney.
Katy loves spending time with her children, going to their sporting events, and traveling. Some of the places Katy has had the opportunity to visit are Germany, Austria, Budapest, Rome, Venice, Prague, Park City, San Diego, Hollywood, Green Bay, Galveston, and New York City.
